The Short Version
Between Cambodia and Europe there’s endless road and plenty of borders I haven’t crossed yet. There are several mountain ranges, at least one desert, alpine lakes, and wide open spaces to be explored. Attractions that still haven’t been posted to social media, and many new friends to be made. I intend to drive 40,000km across continents and to discover it for myself.
That’s the whole premise of Globe by Road. A ute, a rough direction, and considerably more kilometres than sense.
Consider this site my log book. Not just recording the kilometres driven and the hours spent behind the wheel, but the memories made and the stories I’ll tell.

The Route
There’s a lot of countries, and a even more chances for this plan to go sideways. See the line on the map I’m attempting to follow.
The Adventurers
One of us has a redundancy payout, a plan, and nothing much left to lose. The other has a full tank and a warranty that stops mattering the moment it might. Meet both, and work out who’s really got more riding on this.

The NSFAQs
The moment I mention this trip, everyone asks the same handful of questions. Usually: “Where is that?” or “Is it safe?” Border crossings, breakdowns, basic geography and whether this is as reckless as it sounds — the Not So Frequently Asked Questions, answered honestly.
Start wherever curiosity takes you. It’ll all still be here when you get to the rest.
