To resign from one's job abruptly and emotionally, typically in response to a single triggering incident — a thankless email, an unbearable meeting, or being overlooked for a promotion — rather than through considered deliberation. Often performed with theatrical flourish. "He rage quit halfway through the Q3 planning session and was last seen carrying a pot plant to the lift."
  2. noun. The act or instance of such a resignation. "His rage quit became office legend after she cc'd the entire company on her two-word notice."
